Hello, I'm Kathy Trevelyan, and I founded School of me because I want to share what I have learned with other people.

The Community

In addition to joining a course you will also be invited to join our private Facebook Group, where you will be able to share experiences and ideas with other women working on the same things as you.

 

Our first course is called Transformations - Women Making Changes, and I was inspired to create it because I have made many changes in my life. These changes include going to Drama School when I was in my fifties, having wanted to act for a very long time. I have since appeared on stage, tv and film, both in the UK and abroad. And I'm loving it! I understand what it feels like to really want to do something, to feel that it's impossible, and to feel the fear and do it anyway. You will learn ways to identify what's holding you back, to find out what you really want, to plan for your future and implement real changes.

Our second course is Menopause and Me. Many of my friends are going through menopause, or are about to do so, and it can be an unsettling time. But it can also be a time to rethink, rebuild and rejoice in your future. You will learn techniques to cope with the symptoms and the strong feelings that many women experience. You will also find ideas on how to look ahead and plan your future with renewed energy and determination.

Grandmothering is our third course. I became a grandmother when I was only thirty-eight, so I have a lot of experience! Whether you are about to become a granny for the first time, or have been one for years, there will be something for you here. Being a grandmother can be incredible rewarding, but it can also be tricky, painful and worrying. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have close relationships with their grandchildren, and not everyone wants to be a hands-on granny. You will find ways to explore how you feel about the relationships that grannies have, ways to deal with practical and emotional issues, and how to find your own way of grandmothering.
